It could have been better!

I love Melissa Etheridge. I even passed on an amazing offer to go on a very discounted Olivia cruise just to MEET her and see the show in Durham, NC. It’s the first time I had ever purchased a ticket that afforded me the privilege to attend the sound check, meet and greet and enjoy a great seat for the concert. Evidently, folks received an email with details regarding times, instructions and such. But I received no such email. And even though I arrived way ahead of time, I was given the wrong information and missed the sound check entirely. Once I found the person to check in with and asked for the credentials to get me into the theatre early, I was told I could get it at the table on entry. But I was denied entry as I didn’t have credentials. So, I waited off to the side until two people I had just met took my phone to the table and advised the person in charge that I couldn’t get in the door. Then, and only then, I was allowed to stand in line. Once inside I got to meet Melissa Etheridge and had my picture taken, but I won’t get the picture since I will never get the email with the link to access the picture. And that’s ok, too. Needless to say I didn’t feel very much like a VIP throughout this experience. And that’s ok, also. I don’T need to feel important. What compounds all of this is I was standing on a recently replaced left knee an was in extreme discomfort. Fortunately, Melissa was great as usual and the people directly in front of me didn’t stand up the whole time as I surely couldn’t. Such experiences really leave me disillusioned about this world. It could have been better.
